Are you an internationally qualified Nurse? Dou you have a wish to reach NZ and work as a registered Nurse?

We will assist you to reach your dream destination by providing excellent support.

COMPETENCE ASSESSMENT PROGRAMS

The aim of the competence Assessment program (CAP) is to enable successful applicants to demonstrate their ability to meet Nursing Council of New Zealand competencies for their scope of practice to gain Nursing Council of New Zealand Registration. Graduates can apply to the Nursing Council of New Zealand for a New Zealand Registered Nurse Practicing Certificate and can work in all healthcare settings.

If you hold current registration in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Singapore, the United States of America or Canada, you may not need to complete a CAP because the registered nurse role and health care context in these countries is similar to New Zealand. We will advise you if you need to complete a Competence Assessment Programme after we assess your application.

Who is this for?

This programme is for you if you are:

  • An internationally Qualified Nurse
  • Returning to Nursing – if you were registered in NZ but you have been out of practice for 5 years or more.
