ADC – WRITTEN EXAMINATION

The ADC tests the dental practitioner’s knowledge and clinical judgement. These exams are conducted twice a year, generally in the months of March and September. The results of the Written Examination is published on the ADC Candidate Portal within 6 weeks of the examination. In order to apply or sit for the written examination, the ADC doesn’t require candidates to meet the English language requirements. The Written Examination is valid for three years.
Here is a list of places where these exams are conducted in India – Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune.

ADC – PRACTICAL EXAMINATION

The Practical Examination is designed to test the practical application of clinical skills and judgement. This examination is held over two days. The results of the general dentistry Practical Examination is published on the ADC Candidate Portal within six weeks of the examination.

 ADC – SPECIALIST REGISTRATION

There are 13 dental specialties in Australia which are approved by the Australian Health Workforce Ministerial Council (the Ministerial Council).
These specialties are:
Dento-maxillofacial radiology, Endodontics, Oral and maxillofacial surgery, Oral medicine, Oral pathology, Oral surgery, Orthodontics, Pediatric dentistry, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Public health dentistry (community dentistry) , Special needs dentistry and forensic odontology.
